Cold Pressed Dog Food
Our cold-pressed method compresses previously dehydrated ingredients at low temperatures, preserving all their properties and original flavor. With this process, the digestive system of dogs and cats absorbs nutrients better, and they enjoy the original taste of the ingredients.

Cold-pressed dog food: Advantages and Benefits
Cold-pressed dog food is characterized by a production process in which the ingredients are not subjected to high temperatures, allowing the maximum preservation of their nutritional properties. Among its advantages and benefits are:
- Nutrient preservation: By not heating, the natural properties present in the ingredients are better preserved.
- Digestibility: This type of food is easier to digest, which can be beneficial for dogs with sensitive digestive systems.
- High palatability: By not denaturing the ingredients or their original flavor, a more intense taste is achieved.
Natural Cold-Pressed Dog Food
Our dog food is the most natural dry food available for your dog. All the dog food we sell at LaraVital is made using the cold-pressed or non-extruded method, which maximally preserves the ingredients it's made with. This way, the nutrients in the food reach your dog in the best possible way.
Natural and High-Quality Ingredients
Our dog food includes all the most important components of prey (what a dog would eat in its natural environment): meat, cartilage, liquid essences from prey, green matter found in their stomach, and more. These elements specifically cover the vitamin, trace element, and carbohydrate needs necessary for a dog's daily life.
The dog food we offer at LaraVital is a complete meal, combining a careful and balanced selection of high-quality ingredients.
Our dog food is free from flavor enhancers, flavorings, preservatives like ethoxyquin (E324), BHT (E321), and BHA (E320), as well as chemical astringents. We are confident that our dog is eating the healthiest and most natural food possible.
The Cold-Pressed Method
Cold-pressed or non-extruded processing is a method that protects raw materials and doesn't subject them to high temperatures that denature their ingredients. With this system, even though the ingredients don't stick together, they form a compact pellet. This method benefits the dog's body and optimizes food assimilation, as it preserves its vital ingredients much better.
The ingredients (dehydrated and ground) are delicately mixed and then go through the press, which compacts them through pressure, shaping them into pellets, all without steam or high temperatures.
These pellets exit the press at a temperature of 35-40°C and pass through a cooling system to bring them down to room temperature.
Subsequently, the pellets are directly packaged in bags, without passing through silos or storage tanks.
The cold preparation of non-extruded dog food is a nutrient-protective method for raw materials, in which the ingredients do not fuse or gelatinize due to high temperatures or extrusion pressure. Experience has taught us that through this method, a canine organism utilizes these nutrients much better, bringing us closer to the original model of natural nutrition.
Practical Difference Between Pellets and Classic Extruded Kibble
Pellet
The pellet doesn't float when in contact with water; instead, it sinks and immediately starts to disintegrate, just like it does in the dog's stomach. Within minutes, it has completely broken down, leaving the water clean without any residue of coloring. It behaves the same way in the dog's stomach. Its size is approximately 2.5 cm long by 1 cm in diameter.
Kibble (extruded or made at high temperatures): Kibble floats and quickly swells, absorbing all the water, sometimes doubling in size. Additionally, it doesn't disintegrate or lose its shape even after 2 or 3 days in water.
Try it yourself!
Doctors and nutritionists also recommend to us not to overcook food, as high temperatures destroy many vitamins, proteins, and vital ingredients.
Cold pressing is a special method to protect and preserve the properties of the ingredients and their biological value, especially the sensitive secondary substances of plant origin. With this method, there is no thermal denaturation, and the ingredients do not fuse with each other. Markus-Mühle is the only manufacturer of cold-pressed non-extruded dog food (D RP 1 143 01).
Mini-Pellet
With this smaller pellet, small-sized dogs, puppies, and elderly dogs can chew better without straining their jaws, while enjoying all the benefits of standard pellets. Its size is approximately 2 cm long by 0.5 cm in diameter.
